Hello, I'm Xi (the pronouce is similar to "she"), the founder of Avocado Nail Lab. Thank you for visiting my page and taking the time to learn my story.

After six years of studying statistics and earning a Master’s degree in Statistics and Computational Finance from the University of York, I made the bold decision to dive into the beauty industry. I discovered that I’m a natural artist—highly creative, with a sharp sense and deep passion for makeup and nail art. Despite starting from scratch with zero experience, I mastered most nail art techniques in under a month, gained my first loyal customers, and created a viral makeup post with over 30k likes. Nobody believes I’ve only been in this industry for one month! I also love knitting and crafting, which allows me to create heartfelt gifts for my family and friends during the holidays.

Leaving behind the professional field I studied for years to enter an entirely unfamiliar and new industry was not an easy decision, but it was undoubtedly the right one! Although I sometimes regret not pursuing formal training in this field earlier, I believe every step I’ve taken has been meaningful. My background in statistics enables me to rationally analyze pros and cons before making decisions. My expertise in statistical software will also help me apply a more scientific approach to managing my business in the future. Additionally, my analytical mindset gives me a unique perspective in the beauty industry.

From a young age, I’ve pursued various artistic skills. I hold a Level 10 piano certificate, have trained in drawing, won a university singing competition, and have a passion for photography. I’m also talented in sports, frequently participating in athletic events, and I love staying fit.

This year marks the end of my time as a student, but the learning continues. I’ve begun exploring the working world, acquiring new skills, and understanding the dynamics of the professional sphere. I’m truly enjoying life right now because I’m finally doing something I love. It feels like I’ve waited for years to walk this path. Though busy and sometimes faced with an imbalance between effort and rewards, I’m still genuinely happy and grateful to channel my passions and talents into my career. What a blessing it is to combine work with love, even if this decision came a little late.

Finally, as 2025 begins, I’ve made a wish: that this year marks the successful launch and significant progress of my career.

在经过六年的统计学学习并获得约克大学统计与计算金融硕士学位后，我做出了一个大胆的决定，投身于美容行业。我发现自己是一名天生的艺术家——充满创造力，对美妆和美甲有着敏锐的直觉和深厚的热情。尽管从零开始、毫无经验，但我在不到一个月的时间里掌握了大部分美甲技能，赢得了第一批忠实客户，还创作了一个点赞量超过3万的爆款美妆帖。没有人相信我才刚刚入行一个月！此外，我还热爱针织和手工制作，这让我可以在节日期间为家人和朋友制作富有心意的小礼物。

放弃学习多年的专业领域，转而进入一个完全陌生的新领域并不容易，但我并不后悔，这是一个绝对正确的决定！虽然有时会遗憾没有更早地进入艺术行业接受专业学习，但我坚信自己走的每一步路都意义非凡。我的统计学背景让我在决策前能够理性分析利弊；我的专业统计软件技能也能在未来帮助我用更加科学的方式管理我的事业。此外，我的理科思维为我在美业提供了一个独特的视角。

从小我就学习了许多艺术技能。我拥有钢琴十级证书，学习了近7年的绘画，在大学时曾参加歌手比赛并获得冠军，我还对摄影充满热情。同时，我在运动方面也很有天赋，每年的运动会都有我的身影，并且热爱健身。

今年，我的学生时代结束了，但我的学习之旅还在继续。我开始探索社会，学习新技能，理解职场运作模式。我非常享受现在的生活，因为我终于在做一件自己热爱的事情。感觉自己等待了很多年，终于走上了正确的道路。尽管忙碌，尽管有时付出与回报似乎不成正比，但我依然感到无比开心，因为够将自己的兴趣和天赋融入到事业中去是多么幸运啊。即使这个决定来得稍晚，我依然满怀感激。

最后，在2025年伊始，我许下一个愿望：希望今年我的事业能够顺利起步，并取得更大的进步。
